Educational Training and Consultancy

Nigel continues to work as an educational trainer and consultant, focusing on Pupil Premium and  all aspects of assessment, especially interpretation of ASP data. He has worked all over England in over 250 primary, secondary and special schools, and with colleagues from many more providers during training events. Nigel is available to carry out Pupil Premium reviews and other bespoke school and academy support.

The following document was originally published in July 2019 by the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF), and has been explicitly endorsed by both the DfE and Ofsted. If you are a school or academy leader responsible for Pupil Premium strategy it’s essential that you familiarise yourself with it. Open the April 2022 version of the guide by clicking on this image:

Another essential Pupil Premium document is this one from the DfE, which summarises their guidance for schools and academies. Click on this image to open the document:

Since becoming a counsellor Nigel is also developing training courses related to pupil and staff well-being, the first of which is a  half-day session for teaching assistants on supporting children’s and young people’s mental health.
